Illya sat at his desk and tried to concentrate on the report he was writing. It was the wrap-up of their last mission. He found himself writing quite glowingly about the IK Doll's part in the affair, then wondered if he should tone it down a bit. No, the IK Doll had done an outstanding job and he was going to give him the credit he deserved. He actually felt a bit lonely this morning. His apartment seemed quite empty without the presence of his small, temporary roomate.
Halfway through the report, his partner Napoleon entered their office.
"Nearly finished with the mission report Illya?"
"About halfway through it actually. You know, I hate to admit it, but I miss IK."
"Well, there's no shame in admitting it. I miss him too. In fact, I was thinking of taking him to a party this weekend. In case you hadn't noticed, he's a magnet for the fairer sex."
"Is that your only reason for missing him, because he's a "chick" magnet? Really Napoleon that's pretty shallow, even for you." snipped Illya.
"Okay, I miss the little guy because I really like him. He's fun to have around. Aside from his magnet talents, well, he's just so darn cute." Solo said with a smile.
"You'd better make sure HE never hears you refer to him as cute. He told me hates that word. But I noticed he never seemed to mind when the secretaries used it. Napoleon, do you think he'll be all right with that wacky caretaker of his? I'd hate to see him end up at a flea market again . .. or worse. What if she accidentally throws him out with the trash? She seemed pretty flighty to me." mused Kuryakin somewhat morosely.
"Don't worry, I met her husband and he's quite concerned with the IK Doll's safety. Nothing will happen to him. Besides I have a feeling we'll be working with him again very soon, then we can keep an eye on him."
"I hope you are right. Of course we can always visit him at the Jersey Shore, apparently we have a standing invitation, and summer is coming"........
